Thoroughbred Breaking & Training

Colby Fields offers breaking and training services performed by qualified thoroughbred horse trainers. We generally break and train yearlings in the fall, beginning sometime shortly after the September sale. We generally break a group of 7-12 yearlings each fall. This smaller number allows us to work with and provide for each horse’s individual needs. Once, the horses have completed their first 45-60 days undersaddle they are  well prepared to ship to a training facility for young horses or a two year old consignor. We have several we recommend with our primary provider located in Ocala, Florida.
