About our Sport Horses
Thank you for taking the time to review our Sport Horses for sale. Prior to narrowing our focus to Thoroughbred breeding and racing in 1999 and joining with Ben in 2000, the farm always maintained broodmares devoted to Sport Horse breeding. Over the years many customers have enjoyed and successfully competed the horses we’ve bred such as the Prix St. George horse Loxley owned and riden by Mary Jo Wicker and the Hunter Kal-El owned and riden by Tara Skillman. We’re were thrilled in the summer of 2009, when Advanced Level Event Rider Dorothy Trapp-Crowell purchased our 4yr old Regulus (Holsteiner) x Sensuous (Anglo-Trak) colt named “Jude” for her personal stable. Congratulations to their first win at starter level on November 13, 2009!
Kara has always had a spot in her heart for breeding horses suitable for Dressage, Hunters, and Eventing. Thanks to Ben for his support, she has been able to maintain her best Sport Horse broodmare “Sensuous” alongside their Thoroughbreds. In 2009 Colby Fields is proud to continue offering a small selection of Sport Horse youngters of the highest quality. Each one has been loved and cherished from day one.
